Events

Throughout the year, Robinson Reed Layton holds events for our clients and for the wider community throughout Cornwall. These events cover a range of subjects from effective tax planning for individuals to industry specific seminars, and sponsored sporting events. These are often in partnership with other organisations, meaning that events address a wider range of subjects.

We hold early Budget briefings the morning after the Chancellor’s statement in Truro and at lunchtime in St Austell, details of these are not known until the Chancellor decides on the day!

Sage Truro college

This year we held a breakfast seminar at Truro College and a lunchtime session at Carlyon Bay on 24 March 2011.

We also run an annual Charities Conference, bringing charities up to date with recent developments.

A briefing about the Emergency Budget took place the morning after on Wednesday 23rd June 2010 at Truro College, followed by a lunchtime briefing in St Austell.

Various issues were addressed including the impact for charities, Cornwall’s perspective on the Regional Growth Fund and the move of the RDA to a Local Enterprise Partnership, the New Business Scheme, Furnished Holiday Lettings, National Insurance rates and limits, Child Tax Credits, VAT, Entrepreneurs Relief, Capital Allowances, Corporation Tax and Anti Avoidance rules – plus more!

Places at the briefings were free in order to reach as many people as possible, with an opportunity to donate to Cornwall Hospice Care instead.

Further information and guest comment is available in our news section.
