Robinson Reed Layton helped to raise £460 for Cornwall Hospice Care through its recent Budget briefings.

The Cornish accountants and tax advisers presented Budget seminars in Truro and St. Austell following the Chancellor’s statement.

Various issues were addressed including the impact on the Budget for charities, Cornwall’s perspective on the Local Enterprise Partnership, Personal Account Pensions, Furnished Holiday Lettings, National Insurance rates and limits, Inheritance Tax, VAT, Capital Allowances, Corporation Tax and Anti Avoidance rules – plus more!

Places at the briefings on March 24, the day after the Budget, were free in order to reach as many people as possible, with an opportunity to donate to Cornwall Hospice Care instead. £460 was raised from the seminars for this local charity from over 100 delegates.

Cornwall Hospice Care, which provides specialist clinical care and support to patients with life-limiting illnesses, is heavily reliant on the local community to support its work. It costs £5.8 million annually to run its service, with around 15 per cent coming from the NHS and the remainder from charitable giving.

“We would like to thank Robinson Reed Layton for choosing to support Cornwall Hospice Care by asking delegates to make a donation at the Budget briefing seminars. It is through the support of local businesses and the wider community that we can continue to provide this specialist care to patients,” said Sarah Snell, PR Manager for the charity.
