Budget Briefings ‘Run’ Well For Marathon Charity!

Robinson Reed Layton once again ran our Budget Briefings on the day after the Chancellor’s announcements.

The big difference this year was that we held our events to launch the Tresco Marathon and to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, the main charity for the marathon itself.

The first event was held at breakfast and took place at Truro College, where over 100 local business people attended.

The second event took place at lunchtime at the Cliff Head Hotel at Carlyon Bay, where 50 attended.

Over £670 was raised for the charity over the two events.

Paul Reed, Richard Robinson and Stephen Gainey presented their findings from the Budget at both events.

Paul commented: “We were delighted to be able to offer Cystic Fibrosis Trust our Budget events to launch the Tresco Marathon and raise money. We have sponsored the Tresco Marathon for many years, and we felt that it was especially appropriate to raise money for cystic fibrosis, given that Gordon Brown’s son Fraser suffers from the condition.”
