If you were visiting Robinson Reed Layton’s offices in Truro on 22 October you would have been in for a surprise at staff members’ socks! The firm raised over £120 for St Petroc’s Society by wearing odd socks for a day and paying for the privilege. Donations for Odd Sock Day will go towards cold weather provision for the single homeless of Cornwall through the winter months. Last year this service made a significant contribution to ensuring that no-one died of exposure during the freezing temperatures.
James Bailey, Tax Partner at Robinson Reed Layton said, “Everyone at Robinson Reed Layton got involved in Odd Socks day for St Petroc’s – from Partners to clients. It put a smile on many faces to do something a bit different whilst raising vital funds at the same time. With out feet cosily tucked up in woolly socks, it reminded us that there will be many people living on Cornwall’s streets this winter who aren’t so fortunate”.
