Leading South West accountants Robinson Reed Layton were in the pink last week as they celebrated a prestigious award to their Charity Partner, Richard Robinson.

As members of staff and partners donned pink for the day at the firm’s Truro offices to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness month, Richard learned he had been awarded the Diploma in Charity Accounting by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Richard was singled out for the Diploma for his many years of work for charities at Robinson Reed Layton. He said: “I am delighted that the Institute chose to recognise the extent and depth of my experience in dealing with charity accounts.

“Charities have represented a significant part of my client portfolio for many years, and in addition to my own experience I have been able to build up a team who can provide the kind of support that enables our firm to provide first class accounting and tax.”

Senior partner Paul Reed, said: “There is no doubt that accounting for Charities is a specialised area of our profession and we are fortunate to have a partner of Richard’s capabilities to service our large portfolio of charitable clients. Richard’s Diploma recognises his skills in this area.”
