The Partners at Robinson Reed Layton are delighted that three of our Chartered Accountant students have passed exams at their recent sittings. They have all worked extremely hard, demonstrating their commitment to the firm and increasing their skills and knowledge to benefit our clients.

Dan Orasnjak, who started with Robinson Reed Layton in 2008, has now successfully completed his “Professional Stage” exams and we are delighted that he will now progress to the “Advanced Stage”.

Meanwhile David Horwell and Vicky Reynolds have passed two examinations each in the “Professional Stage”. Vicky and David started their Training Contracts with Robinson Reed Layton at the end of last summer and are showing huge potential – Vicky achieved 91% in her Financial Accounting paper!

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) exams are essential to become a Chartered Accountant and take up to three years to complete once a candidate has joined the firm on a training contract.

In the “Professional Stage”, which takes two years, there are six computer based exams that test the candidate’s knowledge and then six written exams to test their application of this. Following on from the Professional stage (at which point the candidate is “part qualified”) is the “Advanced Stage” which entails three further exams over a year. On completion of the Advanced stage and completion of the Training Contract period, the candidate can apply to be a Chartered Accountant.

At Robinson Reed Layton we are pleased to accept candidates on Training Contracts and whilst this summer’s intake has been completed, if you would like further information, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
