Robinson Reed Layton is sponsoring Redruth RFC for the tenth year running and has invited 120 guests to the club’s match against Stourbridge on Saturday 5th March at what is being billed as ‘the biggest St Piran’s Day celebration.’
The match is taking place at the Recreation Ground, the home of Cornish rugby on the national day of Cornwall.
Off the pitch there will be a huge festival of entertainment for all. The Cornwall Blind Association is holding their shortest sponsored walk, a Firewalk and is asking supporters to walk over hot coals for the local charity – literally. There will be a mass of stalls together with steam engines, go-karting and all manner of music and dance events, continuing right into the evening.
With the county celebrating its patron saint, and an electric atmosphere around the grounds, this will be a highly exciting match.
Paul Reed, Partner at Robinson Reed Layton explains the reasons for supporting ‘the Reds’:
“It’s important that we support our local sportsmen and St Piran’s Day is an excellent day for it. It promises to be a fantastic day for our clients.”
Jeff Knuckey, Commercial Manager of Redruth RFC explains why this corporate sponsorship is so vital to the Club’s success:
“The support of companies like Robinson Reed Layton is the life blood of Redruth Rugby Club. We do not have a single major benefactor at the club and therefore depend on the support of over 120 local companies in order to maintain National League 1 rugby.
“Within this group of sponsors there is a nucleus of some 20 Corporate Sponsors who are major supporters of the club. Robinson Reed Layton has been a member of this special group for over 10 years. We are extremely grateful for the continuing level of support they give us. Robinson Reed Layton are true friends of Redruth Rugby Club.
“We look forward to meeting Paul Reed and all our old friends from the accountancy firm again with their guests and will do our very best to ensure that they have an unforgettable day both on and off the pitch.”
