Truro and Penwith College Budget 2013 Seminars
George Osborne delivered his Budget on Wednesday 20 March to a rowdy House of Commons. We presented our take on the measures announced and an update on topical tax issues at two briefings on the following day:
We welcomed local businesses, charities and individuals keen to learn how the new Budget would affect them.
The Partners delivered presentations on the implications of the new Budget and topical tax issues. Staff were also be on hand to provide one-to-ones about individual cases, to allay concerns for some and pre-warn others about some of the more worrying Budget measures.
At Truro College a complimentary breakfast was provided at 7.30 am before the briefing in the Fal building. At Penwith College a complimentary buffet lunch began at 12.30 pm, prepared by the catering students that service the Senara Cafe prior to the briefing in the Zennor building.
Donations at both events raised funds for Young People Cornwall.
