Senior Manager

Terry provides advice on accounting, tax and business matters to a wide range of clients including professional partnerships and manufacturing concerns.
 
He has extensive experience in business planning, including succession planning, and is the firm’s financial projections specialist.
 
He is also the firm’s forensic accounting specialist and has produced many expert witness reports on cases involving divorce, personal injury, fatal accidents, fraud and professional negligence.

In addition to being a rugby nut, Terry is a keen gardener and enjoys a passion for the theatre. His other interests include music, reading and being taken for a walk by his dogs.

Charities Director

Mark joined the firm in 1999 and qualified as a chartered accountant in 2002. He was promoted to manager in 2006 and Charities Director in 2012.

Mark has attained the prestigious Diploma in Charity Accounting issued by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in recognition of his work with our charity and not for profit clients. This covers a wide range including accounts preparation, statutory audits, independent examinations, audit of grant claims and advising on charity specific issues.

He also specialises in the care home sector as well as providing advice to a range of small and medium sized businesses on accounts, audit and tax.

From a farming background himself, he also advises farmers and landed estates.

In his spare time Mark enjoys playing tennis and relaxing with friends and family.

Manager

After graduating with a degree in Mathematics Paula joined the firm in 1997 and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2000. As a Team Manager Paula looks after a wide range of clients, including PLCs, and specialises in company, sole trader and partnership accounts for small and medium sized businesses.

Paula is also the firm’s CCH Viztopia Accounts expert.

Paula is a keen rider and enjoys keeping fit by attending fitness classes, swimming, cycling and walking. Paula is also a member of her local running club and enjoys entering local races. She also enjoys weekend breaks, especially shopping sprees!

Manager

After graduating from university with a degree in Maths, Tracy joined the firm in 2004 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2007. She specialises in the charities and education sector and is the main point of contact for our academy clients.

Tracy is our Solicitors Regulation Authority Accounts Rules specialist and is responsible for managing the firm’s client money assignments including Licensed Conveyancers, NAEA and ARLA.

Tracy also deals with large company audits, groups of companies, sole trader and partnership and company accounts.

Much of Tracy’s spare time is devoted to her young son including regularly helping out in his school’s reading program. Their weekends are spent enjoying a variety of outdoor sports including kayaking, cycling and running.

Manager

Simon was born and bred in Truro and after finishing at Truro School, completed a degree in Medical Genetics from the University of Leicester in 2005. After deciding chromosomes weren’t for him and wanting to return to his roots, he joined Robinson Reed Layton. He completed his Chartered Accountancy qualification and is currently working towards his Diploma in Charity Accounting.

He specialises in limited company accounts and audit whether they are small, medium or large and charity accounts and audit with their specific disclosure requirements. He also enjoys busy Januarys by dealing with clients personal tax returns.

Simon is the treasurer for two local sports clubs that he plays for. When not auditing, Simon plays both league cricket and hockey. He also attempts to play golf early on a Sunday morning. Simon’s next targets are to score a century for his cricket team (top score currently 96), lower his golf handicap, perfect his snowboarding and see more of the world.

Mikaela joined the firm in 1999 and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2003. She became a Team Manager in 2008.

Mikaela specialises in limited company, sole trader and partnership accounts and has a particular interest in business start-ups and growing companies.

The majority of Mikaela’s spare time is taken up chasing and clearing up after her young son – and husband! – but in her rare free time she enjoys walking, going to the cinema, reading and trying to cook!

Assurance Manager

Lynn is the firm’s Assurance Manager, and has been with the firm since 1992.

Lynn holds the ICAEW Audit qualification and specialises in large company audits, pension scheme audits, client money audits, groups of companies, company and sole trader and partnership accounts.

Lynn enjoys kayaking, watching rugby and loves Moto GP. Having just moved house most of her spare time has recently been taken up with DIY and decorating projects.
