Richard retired as a partner from Robinson Reed Layton on 31 May 2009, after 41 years in the accountancy profession.

Richard became a general practice partner with KPMG in 1984 and was a founding partner of Robinson Reed Layton in 1995.

Over the past 15 -20 years he built up the firm’s expertise in acting for charities and not for profit organisations which is now headed by Graham Boulton as partner and Mark Williams as manager.

He is trustee of several charities the largest of which are the Duchy Health Charity Limited and Cornwall International Male Voice Choral Festival. He is also the treasurer of St Andrew’s Church, Redruth.

Richard holds the Diploma in Charity Accounting issued by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. This award is held by less than 700 accountants in the UK.

Richard will remain as a consultant with the firm and will be available to provide guidance and assistance to clients on charity issues.

Richard is a keen gardener and traveller and enjoys listening to classical music.
